2014 Train Ride Season Opens Sunday, May 11

Celebrate National Train Day weekend with the only combined trolley and train ride in New York State. Rides begin at the New York Museum of Transportation and include a visit at the Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum. Rides operate Sundays only, throughout the summer and fall seasons. Exhibits in the two museums include trolley cars, passenger and freight cars, a steam locomotive, and horse-drawn and motorized vehicles. A restored country railroad station, a large model railroad, and numerous exhibits, photos and artifacts bring transportation history to life.

The two museums and the rides between them are all included in one family-friendly admission. Rides depart every 30 minutes starting at 11:30 a.m., and no reservations are required. Unless otherwise directed, all tours begin at the New York Museum of Transportation, 6393 East River Road, West Henrietta, NY. We are only a few miles from Exit 11 on I-390, and just 20 minutes from downtown Rochester. Admission, including both museums and the ride between them: Adult $10.00; Seniors (65+) $8.00; Youth (3-17) $8.00.
