Join us on February 21 for more vintage Rochester railroading!

Everyone is invited to our meeting on February 21: The evening program will feature a tour of Rochester railroading in the 1960s and 1970s by long-time museum member Peter Gores. Featured railroads will include New York Central, Penn Central, Baltimore & Ohio, Erie Lackawanna, Bath & Hammondsport, and the Livonia, Avon & Lakeville. You won't want to miss it!
Our monthly meetings are held at the 40 & 8 Club located at 933 University Avenue in Rochester, New York. The museum store opens at 7pm, a brief business meeting takes place at 7:30pm, and the program begins around 8:15pm. This is a FREE event. Everyone is welcome! You can also RSVP on our Facebook fan page!

R&GVRRM projects featured in Railfan & Railroad

Two of our most recent restoration projects were featured in the January 2013 issue of Railfan & Railroad magazine! The "Lineside Legacy" preservation column titled "There is a Light at the End of the Tunnel," described how the completion of the rebuilding of RG&E 1941 helped in planning the restoration of Lehigh Valley caboose 95100. The article put the spotlight on our volunteers and helps explain that railway preservation is not as simple as dragging something from the scrap yard and slapping on fresh paint. Many folks work behind the scenes to make sure projects stay on schedule and within budget. Pick up a copy today, or better yet, come down to the museum sometime and help lend a hand!
