Who needs a spike maul? Randy Bogucki drives a spike with a jackhammer into the new ties placed under Track 4 in Industry yard while Mike Dow supports the tie from underneath. The use of the jackhammer greatly speeds the spiking of the rail down to the new ties.
Construction Equipment Repair - The repair to the broken drive on our Bucyrus-Erie 20-H hydraulic excavator is nearing completion. The repaired drive has been reinstalled and now the track must be reassembled to complete the repair. Our fleet of construction equipment has proved to be a valuable asset to the Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum.
