October Update

Much progress has been made in the Restoration Shop this summer, as our inspection pit nears completion! Currently we have approximately $10,000 left for this much needed project. With the floor space all cleared out, and the concrete pouring season nearing it's end, we are working in earnest to reconnect Track 9 back to the building, as well as complete the concrete floor from the east wall over to Track 7.

To accomplish this work, we need to raise about another $15,000. We only have a few more weeks of good weather for this project, so will you please consider donating today and we can finish off what will be about 65% of the Shop floor space? This will give us the the opportunity over the winter to get the Shop set back up again, so we are ready to roll come spring.  You can make your tax-deductible donation on our web site or by mail. Saturday, Oct. 18 - Fall Foliage Express
We will be operating our Fall Foliage Express departing Lakeville, New York. This train is completely sold out. We are also looking for volunteers to hang around Industry Depot as we will be having an open house for out of town visitors.

Sunday, Oct. 19 - Sunday Museum Operations
Depot Guides and volunteers needed to help with our regular Sunday operations. Last weekend we had four hundred visitors. The week before that it was three hundred. We really need your help!

Saturday, Oct. 25 - Pumpkin Patch Limited and Halloween Express
